Right now, I am so pissed at Democrats.  For one thing, we Democrats are so horrible at knife-fighting.  It makes me sick.  Yes, my Dad used to always tell me, "Voters don't like mean Democrats." Well, that may have been true in the past, but it is no longer that way and the Democrats are still miles behind the Republicans in this aspect.  When Democrats get kicked in the groin they demand a pause in the action instead of getting down and dirty.

My message to them: THINGS HAVE FUCKING CHANGED, while you whole lot have not!

Let me put this in blunt terms: No Democrat should be losing or even barely ahead of Trump.  Frankly, we should be in wild excitement in hopes of a massive Blue tidal wave, but now, it's a bit more troubling. And for Democrats and Liberals to ignore this just shows how deep in the hole Democrats are and they keep falling for the same things over and over and over again. But yet, here we are. And why? Because Democrats are horrible at rough-and-tumble politics.

Biden missed so many layups it was physically sickening.  His fucking people failed him big time.  They blew this whole thing both in content and style (for example, choosing the side of the stage he did so that when it aired Biden looked like he was looking off into space and freezing - I mean, Jesus, musicians do sound checks but political gurus don't check camera angles?).  The people who prepped him are worthless.  Not only that, it seems they apparently thought the actual CNN moderators were going to fact-check live and now we know that did not happen (but the Democrats who prepped Biden seemed to have failed to train Biden well enough to deal with a man who was going to lie for 90 minutes every chance he got and we saw how well that worked out - WHEN THEY ALREADY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT!).

Then, the things he didn't mention or do: no vigorous pushback on the 9 mos abortion lie; no pushback on thousands and thousands of Americans being murdered by immigrants; no mention of DOW 40k; barely even touched on the felony convictions and sexual assault; no use of McCain; that Trump initiated the school lockdowns, not he; that the rioting in cities was during Trump's term" and on and on.

Of course, critiques of debates in hindsight are 20/20, but this was an abysmal performance that did not have to be and it has left me in quite some distress.

Hopefully, though, one positive is leaking through and that is there does seem to be a good deal of focus on Trump's lies,  So maybe that will bring some relief.

I just get so sick and tired of the ineffectiveness of political Democrats and how poor they are at learning, changing, and evolving.

Lastly, I enjoy the writings of long-time Nation writer Eric Alterman and in one of his books he wrote about how terrible the Democrats are at "working the ref" and he is so right.  And tonight was a perfect example of how effective the right is at this simple concept the Democrats are so horrible at - look at their behavior up to the debate regarding CNN's claim of real-time fact-checking.  The right, obviously, was so good at "working the ref" that it was not done like many thought it would be. People were being led to believe that Dana Bash and Jake Tapper were not going to tolerate lies, so what happened? Apparently, something the Democrats are incapable of doing.

Here is another illustration of what I mean: if all this shit was reversed and Bill Barr was the attorney general, there would be press conferences about Judge Cannon and how maybe a grand jury needs to be impaneled because it seems like Jim Jordan, MTG, and all those others are trying to obstruct justice and maybe a few indictments might be in order.  Also, that piece of shit Gen. Flynn would be reactivated and his pension and benefits stripped, or at least the threat of it should be made.

Those, and many others, are ways to "work the ref."
