Not to beat a dead horse, but here's a tidbit.  As I said earlier, the plant contains anticholinergics (specifically these are atropine like or scopolamine compounds).  While most overdoses, and I agree with you on this, are NOT fatal, their have been fatalities, and the potential for deadly risk is there if enough plant seeds are ingested.  Nope, this is NOT a great quantity for this to happen (theoretically):

"Although all parts of the plant are toxic, the highestconcentrations of
anticholinergic occur in the seeds (equivalent to 0.1 mg of atropine
per seed). The estimated lethal doses of atropine andscopolamine in
adults are greater than or equal to 10 mg and greater  than2-4 mg,
respectively (1,2)."

More later by Email.  I think the take home lesson, is even though there may be some medicinal/psychospiritual benefit of these plants at low dose, they are potentially very dangerous, and should be avoided.  Of course anyone who trips, knows that they do so at their own risk, and that includes any psychedelic agent.  There are sooo many plants, mushrooms, cacti that are hallucinogenic, and probably thousands undiscovered...I have often believed that the cure to just about all of our ailments is literally staring us in the face, in the plants, and herbs we see in fields and forests everyday.    So there is good, but caution always.
