I am not doubting you, I merely stated that in the book I have on the subject of hallucinogenic plants, death was not listed among the side-effects.

However, in most anythng, a person can overdose if they take enough of it. I seem to also recall the lab rats that each ate 50,000 packets of saccarine, and subsequently developed tumors and later died.

I had a friend from high school that overdosed on LSD and had a psychotic breakdown, ala Syd Barrett. He spent an entire party calling out for some woman no one knew. He eventually made his way to the Happy Daze funny farm, where he spends his time knitting pot holders and those plastic strapped boondoggle things.

Rich was a good kid, but a bit fucked-up upstairs, and sadly he paid the price.

Yes, it can happen. I've seen it.

However, most of the psychonauts I have hung with took their partying very seriously. It's much safer that way. Some of us were downright clinical about our adventures.
