Really, more disappointed than surprised. 

When he was with World Party, for some time, I absolutely detested the song Private Revolution, but Ship of Fools and other songs started to bring me in and in the end, I enjoyed the output. 

Not only that, just how many have added his song She's the One to a mixtape for their own "one."  I know I did (as well as DB's Born for Love).

Then, in watching some of his videos on YouTube, I noticed he played his guitars flipped around at times and I never realized that until reading more about him after his passing. 

He was a truly one that deserved much more mention and attention.
