Personally, I am extremely excited by Clark's chances for a variety of reasons. One is that those who have studied voter trends say the "Soccer Mom" has been replaced by the "Security Mom," and Clark should snatch those voters up. Also, if Dean is on the ticket he would probably bring the disenchanted on the left with him. But a big one is that I think there are so many people in the US who feel left behind by the Shrub administration (environmentalists, civil libertarians, the poor, African-Americans, Hispanics et cetera) that they might flock to the dems more than ever. One other issue is it seems there is an American Candidate-Fad in a lot of presidential elections (Anderson, Perot, Nader) and this year that seems to be missing, so that might mean more votes for a person like Clark. But because I'm biased, I'd really like to hear concrete comments from our right wingers in regards to opposition to Clark.
