About a month ago, I would have agreed with you. Now I'm not so sure.  Not because this one poll means anything, but if you look at the monthly polls of Bush "approval" (albeit this is a small sample size), his ratings have been dropping steadily since April, now down to 50% (which tells me things could go any direction).    And..the largest sector of the population, dwindling in support of him, are male (again, just a statistic, hard to tell what that means).   This might be a hell of a lot more interesting election than I would have imagined earlier,when I too felt Bush would get re-elected simply because there was no viable opposition.
