I'm not a fan of Joni Mitchell, however, her number was extremely touching to watch.  It was very dramatic how her performance played out.

It was also so wonderful to see Billy Joel perform.

One thing that is so disgusting is how in today's culture things can go viral no matter how tiny they are or without any sort of context at all.  For example, the viral atmosphere started slamming Swift for "snubbing" surprise guest Celene Dion after winning her history-making fourth album of the year.  In watching it with my girls, I saw nothing of that and nothing more than a young woman wildly excited about making history.

Still, though, it would really be wonderful if more genuine award-type shows that truly reward excellence received more attention instead of the fabricated musical performances of mostly noise.
