No you defo didn’t put any dampers on our fun. I think like I said we all feel like really privileged that you the one and only DB who recorded an album (or 5) that took us all to another dimension hangs out with us here and is open and honest and more gifted than the rest of us put together. That was an amazing read and left me thinking about how complex musical relationships are. How I read it is David R envied your talent and I mean why the fuck not. You had it all. It reminds me of the story about George Best. Sorry if I shared it before. A waiter walks into his hotel room and finds George drinking champagne and hanging out with a gorgeous blonde and rolling in money. (He had a playboy reputation). The waiter (obviously jealous and only referencing football) asked George ‘where did it all go wrong?’

If it wasn’t for Boomtown I’d never have gotten to know Dan and Aussie Al and hung out with them. Or chat with Reg and Joe. Here’s the thing even my kids love your music. They grew up with it. They can sing the lyrics to any number of your songs. You and Mr Ricketts aren’t you both intelligent enough to just get it over the line if you’ve got something already started.

I keep asking myself where are the Bob Dylan’s the Paul Mcartneys the rebellious Springsteens and Billy Joel’s and other artists who earned a fortune off their wayward rebellious nature in music now that we are in such peril from orange shit diaper nappy boy? The Willie Nelson’s…the Neil Youngs…they owe us. Anyone with artistry and a conscience needs to stand beside Joe Biden. To shout louder than orange skinned diaper boy.

You’re one hell of a writer.
