Honestly, it makes me sick to think about it. I honestly see nothing to be gained in this war. Putin had to be badly misinformed when he chose to do this. Exposing the fact that his army is no match for any of the European nations. They have performed pathetically and now he is stuck with no way to save face. He has disgraced his forces and his country. 

There needs to be some emergency diplomacy to help him back out of this in a good way. They can't let this keep dragging on because Russia is just going to continue looking bad and taking losses and this pushes toward a panic move to nuke something. Which would be a total horror for Europe to have a nuke go off there. There needs to be a call for a summit with Putin and several nations, including the US, to reach an agreement. I think Putin resists this because he wants to continue to appear a strong man, but all evidence shows he is not. He made a huge error, he can't win in Ukraine, and he persists there only because backing out would make him look weak. They will need to provide him with some concessions to allow him to save some face. I think that the US and European nations have allowed this to drag on to weaken Russia, weaken Putin's hold on the country, and to see if his own people kill him. I think there is a lot of that talk going on in Russia and I am certain Putin knows it. 

I fear for you, Mick. As weird and violent as Trump's base is and the threat we face here with them...they only have guns for the most part. They do not have nuclear weapons. It is a minor threat as opposed to what Europe is under right now. 

He has lost the war in Ukraine he just has not acknowledged it and that is really going to leave him with very limited options, none of them good.
