This shitshow would be so entertaining.

You see, I believe we are most likely beyond the point of being able to right this country.  I really do.  We are on the precipice of absolute danger and not many seem to really even pay much attention to it - or the majority of people that are lemmings, anyway.

One thing that creates this dark worry is the misuse of technology.  What I'm getting at is that many social scientists and behavioral scientists have pointed out how damaging technology and the modern-day use of it is so profoundly harmful and, to me, it is only going to get worse.

To further clarify, there is a small handful of people that have become very wealthy through the stealth creation of hate and turmoil and will continue to do so (Musk, Zuckerburg, Murdoch, Apple, et cetera). These scientists have determined that emotions such as anger, hate, and fear are very, very profitable and with the unleashing of AI it is only going to get worse because there are vested interests in keeping this all going and it is only going to snowball unless people step forward and corral this divisiveness.

Really, can anyone imagine what is going to come next when algorithms further identify the things that "work" and keeps pushing things further?  In fact, we are already seeing it.

But back to the shitshow - I think what the Republicans know is that they could get rid of Donald Trump pretty easily, but they won't and the reason for that is they realize he is going to run regardless of winning the primary or not, so their next strategy is to do the best they can to keep his numbers down as low as possible if he does and to do that they must avoid making him even more filled with retribution.  On top of this, they KNOW because of Pat Buchanan and Al Gore that even a small percentage of Trump voters in a general election could spell doom for them.

What I think they are hopeful for is that Trump will be indicted and tried BEFORE the general election (even though a felony would not preclude him from being president), but keep in mind, I imagine that Trump will do whatever he could to delay any trial.

And is it not so funny that these Republicans could have dealt with their Trump problem simply by impeachment?

Frankly, I believe that if the Democrats played their cards correctly (though sadly, it does not seem they will), they could take back the House, build their majority in the Senate, and keep the Presidency.
