I think what it generally is designed to do is to discourage gay people from going into teaching or if they are teaching to make them feel pressured to get out. It's essentially a simple way to promote the idea that gay people are not wanted.

It also in general creates negative feelings toward teachers and is designed to hurt them. Idiots believe there is some cabal of teachers that want to teach your kids about sex and CRT. Absolute rubbish. 

So sure, like nobody is teaching anything about CRT in public schools, they are not teaching elementary school kids about sex or sexuality either but the idea is just to say you are against this and you want to ban it (pretty easy to come through on a ban of something that does not exist) and you win votes.

Truth is this is working and Republicans will get elected on it. I am amazed, or maybe I should say saddened and depressed, over how easily people fall for this crap but while they try to counter these lies in the media...many people now are already trained not to trust the media. So, there is no way to breakthrough.
