I just started watching this almost ten-year-old show and can't believe it fell under my radar. It is hilarious and really hits on the whole "woke" and "cancellation" business quite well. It stars Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies who has a mouth that can't stop and is like a more vulgar version of Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm. In one episode he is offered a ride by an actress but before she lets him in her car she calls her mother and tells her she is giving this man she just met a ride and if she gets murdered and raped along the way, his name is Jim Jefferies. She then lets him in the car and he makes a bad and misunderstood cringy joke about rape and after she kicks him out of the car, his cancelation starts from there. (Now, here is an interesting side subtle note about this scene - between the two characters, really, which is the worst behavior? Calling a person and saying what she did - basically suggesting someone may be about to commit rape and murder or the telling of a bad and misunderstood joke?). Anyway, the program is so very good when it comes to the misunderstanding of words, language, and communication (there is a hilarious segment on the global interpretation of the word "cunt" - basically how Britains and Aussies use the word versus what it means in America). And the show is really a good pre-cursor to our current last couple of years when it comes to these topics.
