I keep reading all of these "potential" dire possibilities around all the most popular news and liberal opinion sites and keep coming back to the same thing - until I am proven wrong, the Democrats lack the balls to do anything and Merrick Garland is a paper tiger.  I find it quite refreshing (and strange) that the toughest people on Trump legal-wise appear to be Black women and not men, especially White men.

I keep suggesting this and it seems to me much of this is being ignored by the mainstream (some writers are picking up on it a bit) but Bannon/Trump really discovered something over five years ago about the American psyche - especially that of White people (and now it seems even Hispanic/Latino people - look at the recent study of their voting habits and of their opinions of not only the police but "defunding the police" and immigration) and not only have the Trumpies mined it so well but they have created an environment where it is okay to be open about views once shunned and buried beneath the surface (look at the two White congressional women Green and Boebert). 

On top of this, I think the next area of exploitation is going to come in that of the battle between what is more important - one's tribe or beliefs.  And this may take decades to fully bloom, but I fear it is on the horizon. 

What I am getting at is - and whether it is a rational or irrational fear I do not know - there is this underlying pulse that White America is losing its power and influence and initially it is scaring the shit out of the more blatant portion of White America (Trumpies et al).  Think of the early pronunciations of how "MAGA" was code for "Make America White Again" - and THAT is a large part of what Bannon/Trump discovered - White people are afraid and they drilled deep into that fear.   Now, with a changing America, just think what it will mean if such a fear spreads.

And this is where the next prong I am fearful about comes into play - I fear that those with beliefs leaning liberal/Democrat will get afflicted with this bug and they will start leaning more toward their Tribe while being willing to ignore their beliefs (and I believe the very distinct proof of this is when you hear so many working-class Democrats declare how the Democratic Party has left them - I believe comments like that are signs where this new Tribalism will find its birth and grow unless changes occur).

Believe me, I am not condoning this but instead stating it because what the Democrats need to do is foster an argument that all working-class people have more in common than the difference of color and they need to MEAN it. 

So, back to my belief of how nothing will happen to Trump - this is because too many people (the Right) have bought into his shit and fear those that vote for people like Trump and therefore know they can't bear to offend them.

One shining light for the Dems that has emerged though, and so unexpectedly so, is this Putin crisis.  This crisis could be a boon for the Democrats, but I fear they will fuck that up to.
