All that happened was, in the swing states, it was shown beyond a doubt that there is a near 50/50 split of support for Trump and Biden. I mean, outside of the pure Blue or Red states, it is clearly a down to the wire thing.

Not only that but there was no "Blue Wave" and certainly no "Blue Tsunami" in fact rather than gains for the Democrats there were gains for the Republicans in the House and they will maintain control of the Senate even though they had truly horrible senate candidates running. This means that scumbag Mitch McConnell will keep his stranglehold on the government and our federal government will continue to be a do nothing body that will only look to do things for the wealthiest people in the country. 

Susan Collins from Maine was supposed to be a guaranteed loser that donated money to a pair of QAnon candidates to boot...she won! So, this pretty much says to Collins, she is right to support scum like Trump and QAnon loons...that will win her elections.

Great! 

So, what needs to be sorted out here is the why in this. Is it that we have this 50/50 split of voters that love corruption, lies, chaos, harming children, destroying families, don't believe in science, don't think Covid 19 is a big deal, are racist, want to sell our country out to foreign enemies, and those that don't? 

It is totally clear that the arrival of Donald Trump on our political scene has solidified the idea that nothing that used to matter in politics matters anymore. Trump ran a horrible campaign. He was horrible in the debates. His big dumb October surprise, the fake Hunter Biden laptop Rudy scam, backfired and even Tucker Carlson had to back away from that. He caught Covid through his own idiotic behavior and I guess because he was given literally millions of dollars in government healthcare and experimental drug treatments and recovered...well...that cemented his followers belief that Covid is no big deal. 

Where does the support for people that are openly corrupt, openly lie their asses off, openly do not give a damn about people or this nation, come from?

Why do Democrats keep running these lazy campaigns with lousy messaging? It seems to be that they walk  into these situations thinking there is no way they can lose...then all they do is lose.

Biden, it appears, is going to win the presidency but he will barely squeak that out against a candidate that was a raging moron, traitor, and liar. Trump is going to fight it all he can and try to get the election out of the voter's hands and into a judge's hands. How do you not crush a candidate as pathetic as Trump?

When Biden wins though, he will enter the White House with a Republican senate with Mitch McConnell killing off everything except gifts for the wealthy, blocking judicial appointments, nothing will get done.
