Icon Yes, we are on the verge of something bad, not there yet, but this number was upsetting...

So, Heath is correct, not as bad as it may look on the news, Mick. Trump and the lunatic right want to portray us as being already in the midst of civil war, basically because it suits their nonsensical narrative about left wing Black Lives Matter and Antifa people destroying entire cities. This is garbage that is not happening. It is meant to frighten suburban voters into thinking "black people" are going to come into their neighborhoods rape, kill, and burn them to the ground. Essentially the same rhetoric Trump spews about immigrants, they are rapists, murderers, and drug dealers in his followers worlds. It's all the same damn thing repeated over and over.

Here's where it gets really sad, and goes to a point that EEE was making, if you repeat a lie enough (and god knows Trump loves to repeat them) it does become a "fact" to some people. Case in point, some right wingers got together and chatted about ways to smear the left with the idea in mind that the smears did not need to be true they just needed to be repeated, which on the internet is easy. So, they thought what is the best possible smear we can use? They decided it was to accuse Democrats of being child molesters. This basically began with a lunatic smear about Hillary Clinton and a pizza restaurant and all these Democrats sexually molesting kids in this pizza place.

This bit of right wing fantasy grew into the QAnon movement...which has now taken things to even more bat shit levels of Democrats not just being child molesters but cannibals and Satan worshippers. You can openly see the play here to Christian right wing nuts.

This is where it gets pathetic though and where you see we've got a real problem here with people living in some weird fantasy world. I've always thought if you were to put a number on the people that buy into this nonsense it would max out at probably no more than 20% of Republican voters. Now, that would be a frightening number of people that have gone over the edge to be sure. However, yesterday I learned that a poll that was just completed that asked Republican voters if they believed the QAnon nonsense came in at...and honestly this was stunning...52% of registered Republican voters said they believe the QAnon garbage.

My head nearly exploded. 52%? You've got to be fucking kidding me. This can't be happening. More than half of them believe that? That Joe Biden and Tom Hanks are raping then eating children while chanting hymns to Satan...they think that's real?!?!

If more than half of Republican voters are that far gone (and a women I went to high school with spews this garbage on Facebook so much I wonder if she is doing it from a psychiatric ward) we very well could be on the verge of some sort of explosion of right wing violence if Trump loses. These people believe Trump, the guy that hung out and partied with the world's two most famous child molesters for 15 years and was accused of raping at least one child himself and wished one of these child molesters well more than three fucking times after her arrest, is saving the world from Satan worshipping, cannibal, Democrat child molesters? Donald Trump the guy that endorsed child molester Roy Moore? Donald Trump the guy that openly said one of his favorite things about running the Miss Teen America crap was he could walk around the dressing rooms where men weren't allowed so he could see the naked little girls...this Donald Trump?

It's this kind of thing that makes me feel we are in some serious trouble. Elected Republicans have gone full on open corruption and half of the Republican voters are as lost and nuts as Rudy and believe any damn thing you tell them...and these people have guns. What could go wrong?
