I do think this election calls for what I'm sure Biden has in mind:  Unification.  He knows moderate Republicans who feel the same way, and will select those who have already spoken out and to whom compromise is not a bad word.

He is walking a tightrope between the green element of his party and Democrat moderates who are slightly to the left of his chosen Republican moderates.

Assuming Biden is successful in reuniting this country, future elections will crystalize the political sense of a much younger electorate, in my opinion.
