I'm sure the cops at the Wendy's restaurant were feeling less than manly, and insecure men really shouldn't have access to firearms.

Since I first posted above I've thought some more about BLM. As a 60 year old white guy, I do think I should listen a heck of a lot more than I do. But that's not to say that my voice, and the voices of all us, should be heard when we can productively add to the conversation.

Our society has to get to a place where universal standards of behavior are accepted, understood,  and  fairly and equally applied to all groups, and ultimately, the whole "group thing" has to go away, leaving only the human race. And that ain't happening anytime soon. I remember my mother wishing for a day when after much interracial marriage and the related births, our colors would all just blend together. But there weren't many gals like my mom.

Okay, lastly, I do think there's a young Africa American man making a splash in political commentary who we should listen to: Coleman Hughes. He's fresh out of Columbia University and wise beyond his years.  I believe his voice is going to be with us for many years to come and I'm adding him to my list of essential listenings.
