One thing I do not think I will ever understand is how two people, even with differing political beliefs, can sit and watch a video and walk away with two completely different perspectives when the video is clearly unequivocal in what has been captured in the recording.
Now, to me, the only thing unclear in that video is the intent of the officer that pushed the man - what I mean is, I don't think the officer's intent was for the man to trip, fall and become seriously injured. To me, that part is debatable. However, HE did fall and strike his head and what came after made me sick. The indifference to this man and his injury. And to see the blood running out of his ear. On top of that, he is clearly an elderly man and merely walking up to the police as he did lacked the need for the push. Frankly, I do not care that supposedly there was medical personnel somewhere close.
And to now watch this administration try to excuse this behavior by saying "questions need to be asked" and proclaim this man was a member of some certain group is horseshit and despicable.
When I worked I tried the best I could to look at citizens and people I encountered in the way that I wanted my mother to be treated by a co-worker (and believe me, I did have co-workers I certainly did not want to ever deal with my mother by the way they treated people). And to think that this man was left on the ground like that and is most likely someone's grandpa or father sickens me.
