I do think there's an opportunity here, Dan, for many of us to reassess what really matters in life. I hope there's a realization that we're all in this together, that universal healthcare is money well spent and is in everyone's self-interest. I hope there's a better understanding that people matter, not things. The beauties in life are within reach of everyone but we just need to realize that. Reading is virtually free, and the best minds of our species have a lot to tell us. Competence, leadership, and expertise matter, and failures in these areas are hugely consequential. I'm well into the book, Sapiens, A Brief History of Humankind, by Yuval Noah Harari. It's a powerful exploration of how we got here and why we behave as we do. Great stuff but I still must acknowledge the importance of laughing one's ass off. And for my money, no one gives me the giggles like Michael Scott of Dunder Mifflin.
