No, I'm not referring to the new crop of dreadful inductees into the R and R Hall of Fame. I'm talking about an absolutely delightful compilation by the band, The Housemartins, that was led by the magnificent Paul Heaton, a man who most surely should have a wing in the hall devoted to his work with the HM, The Beautiful South, and his more recent solo efforts Alas, he'll never be recognized in the states. A truly extraordinary value is available at the Amazon marketplace; the aforementioned CD can be had for 99 cents!

Get it, embrace the anti-monarchy tune, Flag Day, the anti-cad, hooky as hell, Happy Hour, the non-conformist, snapapalooza ode, Sheep. And Paul's truly angelic voice is a wonder.  Listen along, throw on that moth-eaten cardigan from the back of your closet, and tap your toes to these guys who were once referred to as Christian-Marxists!
