https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E89lUc2i0QIGarland Jeffreys knows NYC like few songwriters. Wild In The Streets, New York Skyline, and 35 Millimeter
Dreams all capture different aspects of the city. This latest, Roller Coaster Town, adds a new dimension. This
guy is in his 70s, but he performs like a man 30 years younger. Ghost Writer, from the late 70s, is his
masterpiece, and there are some fine "best of" collections out there on Amazon no doubt. About 25 years ago, during his relatively dormant stage, and we're talking pre-internet here, I found his phone
number in a NYC phone book and called. His wife answered as he was sleeping. I think it was a Sunday
afternoon. She woke him up and we chatted a bit. Didn't seem at all pissed that I disturbed his time in the
land of nod. I even sent him a live CD I had from a Boston radio show. He won't be around forever so...Peter T.
