Marc, listen I don't want you to be a whipping boy here. I know you said that in another post as well but I am not looking for a punching bag or anything like that. When I talk about this stuff or political topics in general my disgust and anger are directed toward the people in these parties that make this stuff happen...that are the general cause that we have such bad options to choose from and in particular and even more so lately the people that spread absolutely nonsensical propaganda to enrage the general public and appear to be attempting to start a nationwide riot.

Here's what I would ask of you though when you come here to talk about this stuff...don't joke...because it is not funny and specifically dead school children are not funny nor is any innocent person being gunned down funny.

Do not say things intended to offend people because you think it is funny. I ask this not for myself but for the fact that it is highly disrespectful of you to do so. This stuff directly impacts people's lives, people are burying their children, there are teachers that read this stuff here and possibly people that have had somebody they love gunned down. It is not a funny topic. It is an epidemic. It continues to happen. It is a problem that needs a solution far more than any issues with taxes, immigration, or defense spending. It kills on average almost 40,000 people a year.

Peter lives in New Hampshire. There are a lot of guns there. He is a teacher. It is a reality that somebody wanting to make some sort of sick point could walk into his school with a gun. My wife is a teacher. Each time this happens it has a very horrible effect on her. She typically weeps for days or at times weeks. It does not matter that it did not happen at her school...she understands what it means. She understands that there are children that are never going home again. Parents that will never be the same. Teachers that will never be the same.

These same people, Trump and Republicans and the NRA, that want to arm teachers with hand guns have shown no respect for teachers or what they do. They cut funds to schools, cut salaries for teachers, take away tax "loopholes" that allow teachers to deduct for the supplies they use like pencils, paper, whatever...while increasing and extending loopholes for giant corporations. These people have no use for teachers. Trump appoints scum like Betsy DeVos to oversee the destruction of our educational system.

And now Trump wants these teachers to become trained killers for "a little bonus."

Do you even understand what a giant "Fuck you!" that is to them?

Do you see how dumb this is on every level?

They want teachers to take a "gun course" carry a pistol to take shots at more than likely a person with a semi-automatic or converted to automatic rifle with large capacity magazines that will likely get off 150 rounds in the time it takes the teacher to fire a few and hope that their aim is accurate while bullets are blazing past them and their target is moving and children are being slaughtered around them.

There were trained deputies at the school that day that were armed...and they did not even enter the school...and these people spent years preparing for exactly this kind of event and they failed.

Do you see how ignorant it is to think teachers would do better in this situation?

Trump and the NRA came up with this SPECIFICALLY to be offensive and to say "Fuck you!" to people. That's what this was meant to do...intentionally to piss on the people that are victimized by these situations.

It's not a fucking accident, Marc. They meant to do it and they are absolutely pieces of shit for doing so.

So no, I don't want you to be a whipping boy. I am not blaming you for any of this. I am asking you if you are going to talk about it to rise above piles of shit like Donald Trump and Wayne LaPierre who are nothing but human refuse if you discuss it...and that is certainly not a high bar...and to think about the fact that people are burying their kids and more people will bury their kids because this filth do not want to do anything to stop this because DEAD KIDS SELL GUNS.
