Another Odd & interesting American film
I watched "The Ugly American" last night. 1963 Marlon Brando movie just released on DVD. Taking place in the fictitious country of Sarkhan (thinly disguised Vietnam) it's not a great movie by any means but well worth a look and quite a bold statement on American foreign policy considering when it was made.
It would be a great double bill with "The Year of Living Dangerously" starring that wacky Mel Gibson.
