I watched it. Some was okay, some nasty and some really good...

It's always surprising to me how on one stage you can have the truly vapid vs the truly remarkable.

For example, contrast the induction speech of Chris Martin from Coldpay regarding Peter Gabriel to that of Michale Stipe inducting Nirvana. Martin shouldn't even have been allowed on the same stage as these people.

Next, watching Springsteen and The E Street Band to Kitty's Back was fabulous. Sometimes, what he does sort of just leaves me flat, but then, when he goes back to this early stuff it's amazing. The man can talk, too.

On to Hall and Oates...gosh, really, I like Hall and Oates. Especially their early stuff like She's Gone and Sarah Smile, but they are POP music.

Lastly, Kiss...I can't stand Kiss (though I do like their song Detroit Rock City), but I get their contribution. Frankly, though, I see them as a gimic band that was in the right place at the right time (but you know what, in my comic book collection, I do have a Kiss comic somewhere).
