I wasn't trying to make it seem like ALL Americans are terrible and nasty people, but as a country, we really have lost our way and do not follow the ideals and mythology of what "America" is supposed to be about.

And maybe I'm appearing a bit naive and maybe this country as a whole never has lived up to it's professed ideals in the first place.

What got me going about 9/11 is while reading a magazine the back of a magazine ad was a corporate ad regarding 9/11. Something like, "Don't forget 9/11, brought you by Asshole Corporation."

Then there is the execution of an KNOWN innocent man. Luckily it is now starting to be talked about. CNN had a story about, as do other news websites.

But just let that sink in a bit: a politician executed an innocent man when legitimate forensic science (which he refused to even consider in a much abbreviated report) and this country just does not give a shit.

I guess this is what happens when a country is too preoccupied with chasing something as soulless as capital.
