Over the last few years I have been reading quite a bit from the works of modern southern writers. While looking around for video interviews of William Gay (damn, I can't stress this enough....READ his stuff - I'm reading The Long Home and his writing is wonderful), I came across an interview of Harry Crews. He's a very interesting fellow and in the movie The Indian Runner he plays the father of the man David Morse is forced to kill in the first part of the movie. Hell, this guy's so tough I felt he'd be able to reach through the laptop screen and kick my ass.....
