Given that you are our only representative from Africa, I have a question. My brother is married to a Ugandan woman and they currently are visiting there. It's Michael's third time in Uganda and their 6-year old daughter is with them. They will spend time in Kampala and then journey several hours away to her home town that is in a rural area near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. What are your thoughts regarding the safety of white Americans traveling in countries such as Uganda? My brother, at 52, has the idea of eventually retiring there. I think he's making a possibly tragic error. My sister-in-law's family is a bit affluent by Ugandan standards and the compound of homes that they have includes a hired security person. Would you travel to rural parts of Uganda?
