Where did you find a copy of the "The Keep"? I've been looking for that for years. As far as I know it has not had a DVD release and I've never been able to find it on cable.

Although I haven't seen "The Keep", I agree with you on Mann. The guy can do visual grit like nobody else. "Thief" is brilliance top to bottom, "Heat" should go down as one of the top 5 crime films ever, "Collateral" made TC look brilliant, and I will stop what I'm doing for 2.5 hours any time "Last of the Mohicans" is on cable. I thought the film of "Miami Vice" was a bit of a letdown, but it was still pretty good for what it was IMO. Haven't seen "Ali" yet, although it's sitting on my shelf calling out to me every now and then.

And "Manhunter"???? That film sets the standard for psycho-killer thrillers. I thought Bryan Cox made a far more compelling Lechter than Tony Hopkins, and that's taking nothing away from Hopkins (although his performance in "Hannibal" was a bit over the top).
