Michael Mann. How can a director who clearly has an obsessive vision in creating films (moving ‘round a lens and pushing actors to the nth in far-far from cookie cutter fashion), .........how can he splice together such an insulting piece of shit movie adaptation of the excellent novel The Keep seemingly without guilt or remorse? What, was he on a heroin binge?  I mean, I have enjoyed his movies since ~~ he’s gritty; The Insider, for instance, outstanding flick, killer score ~~ but there IS always a peripheral feeling that Michael Mann owes F. Paul Wilson an apology and a potentially karma repairing [far more true-to-the-novel] redux!  Do it, do it Michael Mann, y’bastid!  Somebody aughta.  Don’punch me in the nose, Mann.  Or maybe punch me in the nose, 'cuz I’m right about this.  …You know it’s true.
