*** One of the regular places I go to on the net is the Drudgereport (one has to know what the opposing side is saying). ***

Firstly; why even have "a side"?  If your opinions fall entirely on the left, I guess you have no choice. Personally I have no side or agenda. I see good points and bad on both sides.

*** Tonight there is a post about John Kerry getting a haircut by a French stylist and being able to speak French to the stylist. It is done in a ridiculing manner. ***

This just proves my earlier point; there are idiots on both sides. If you want a credible opinion or an opposing view point, look elsewhere. I consider myself a moderate. Peter T. thinks I'm a Libertarian. We all have to think for ourselves. We have to decide what makes sense and decide what is nothing more than a pisshole in the snow. Drudge and Limbaugh are examples of the far right. Take 'em with a grain of salt. On the left we have Kinsley and Carville. Are any of these people worth my time? I've decided they aren't because they are too extreme and too wrapped up in their own agendas.

But I digress. Getting back to your earlier question...*** So, what are some examples of where conservatives have stood up for very unpopular issues and received the same sort of ridicule that liberals have had to face, i.e., unpatriotic, a traitor and so on. ***

I can't think of any.
