Hey, I hope that $17 you paid for PG PASSION was the remastered version, as they simply sound wonderful. I happen to believe that PASSION and it's sister edition PASSION WORKS, are the best that Peter Gabriel has ever done. Both releases got me into world music in a big way.

Also, if you (or anyone else here) love PASSION, then I would like to recommend two similar releases by Peter Gabriel that are every bit as excellent as PASSION.

01) Ovo (RealWorld - PGCD9) 2000

Ovo is a mixture of music and story telling project that Peter Gabriel did for the UK celebration happenings in the Milennium Dome. It is mostly music, but does have a couple of tracks that have vocals. The Ovo disc is an enhanced CD, and contains a really beautiful video for the song "The Nest That Sailed The Sky," and also contains the "Story Of Ovo" multimedia storybook.

02) Long Walk Home (RealWorld - PGCD10) 2002  

This is the soundtrack for the Austrailian film "Rabbit Proof Fence." This is even more PASSION sounding than Ovo, and is wonderful music to meditate to, or turn on when you are in one of those "altered states" kind of moods. This disc is IMPORT ONLY, and will cost a couple of dollars more, but it is well worth it.

Honorable Mention:

03) Birdy Soundtrack (1985)

This Peter Gabriel offering takes some of his musical themes from his previous albums PG1 (Car) up to PG4 (Security), and turns them into musical themes for this film soundtrack. My only complaint is that this disc is only 36 minutes long, which is quite short.

So Brad, check these out, and let your ears and mind have a treat, and enjoy some music of Peter Gabriel's that you may have passed by.

September 24, 2002 is also the release date for Peter Gabriel's new CD, which is another multimedia enhanced offering, and is called simply UP.
