Marc, Thanks for the link, though the article was way to short! I would have loved to have been there. I respect alot of the people on the board, though I bet it was a "bitch session", more than anything else  and the article leaves me to question the so called "doom and gloom of the record industry"?

I agree with comments left by others to your post. But what about artists like Fugazi, Aimee Mann and Ani Difranco to name a few ? They seem to have beaten the the Major Record Labels at there own game! With that said, I do realize that it is hard for up and comming artists to release their own records. But heck, many other artists have done this. I do believe it can be done! You see so many sucess stories with filmmakers bank-rolling their film on family loans and credit cards. I do not see the end to the music industry at all! What I do see is a harder time for trully talented people getting their music out there and being heard! What we need to do as music fans, is to buy independent music and support those acts, live. Stop buying records from major record outlets, support indie shops and venders, etc. Oh I'm just rambling here, so I better shut the fuck up!
