I love Bruce and his work. I would still give anything to see one of the magical live shows but I am beginning to fear that may never happen. So as a fan (and as is the case with many of the artists I love) I have to be happy with the studio records and the live DVD's, which at least give a little idea of what the live shows must be like.

The new album, well, I was quite underwhelmed on first listen. Yes, The Wrestler is a great track (but very similar, to my ears, to Ghost Of Tom Joad) and a song called Life Itself also appealled to me... But one track in particular, Queen Of The Supermarket... Had Bruce played it to Landau 30 years ago he would have laughed in his face I think. It is disturbingly substandard for Springsteen...
