I've been through it a few times, and I have to say that on the whole it doesn't suck, or at least as bad as I thought it would. There are a few songs that I will be programming around--"This Life" in particular. I have no problems with Bruce writing an overtly sappy love song to Patti, I just don't want to hear it. It doesn't fit in with anything else he's ever done and it sounds more like the Carpenters or Barry Manilow than it does Springsteen.

"Outlaw Pete" is ok, "Good Eye" is a decent bluesy tune feature "Preacher Bruce" that sounds like the band were just jamming until they got it, then over-produced it. "Working on a Dream", "The Last Carnival" (a tribute to Danny), and "The Wrestler" are the best tracks on the disc. The rest are filler, about on par with the filler on Human Touch/Lucky Town.

The good news is he's touring, tickets go on sale Tuesday, and he's coming to the ATL.
