let's not forget that the US is Israel's one stop shopping centre for all it's hi-tech military needs. Last year alone, it spent over 3 billion US dollars on 100 F-16 jets, as seen currently fizzing over Gaza. It also bought 9 Apache helicopters, 15 Cobra attack helicopters, 24 Black Hawk helicopters. Then there's the missiles, currently lighting up the Gazan sky - Lockheed Martin's Popeye air-to-surface missiles, Hughes and Raytheon's Maverick air to surface missiles. Plus the engines for those Merkava tanks currently smashing their way through the streets of Gaza.

In other words, a warring Israel is just great news for the US economy.

Incidentally, if you're wondering why Germany is always so vociferous in it's support, ask yourself where Israel gets it's submarines from
