How can I vote my conscience?

In all honesty, this election, like so many before it, presents no choice for me at all. Two hats full of crap are offered, and I am supposed to choose which one to fit onto my head?

I choose neither hat, but I won't go so far as one friend of mine who consistently voted for Mickey Mouse in all the presidential elections from the time of his return from active duty in WWII.

I may write in Ron Paul's name in a futile display. I may not. Either way, the presidential election will produce no results for me to cheer about.

I suppose I'll fall back on something I think someone else here said a few years back, which is that I'd prefer the wallet lifted during a soothing handjob of the Democrats as opposed to the smash-and-grab & kick you in the nuts on the way out of the Republicans. But neither will fix this economy. (Pardon my French. I don't usually use dirty terms like "economy.")

We need to get busy electing congresspeople who will work to limit the power of the office of the President. That, to me, is far more important than the question of which crap-hat we'll all wear on November 4th.

Do I sound unusually negative today? Forgive me. I am.
