Pat, Whether you want to hear from a middle class woman liberal mother music junkie or not, I offer my humble opine.

The debate didn't last long enough, and glossed over specifics, but I think Obama made resoundingly good points providing much needed distinction between his leadership style and John McCain's. Obama wants to carefully, the root word is care, come to decisions about the economy, (haste makes waste - think about the war in Iraq) by using a scalpel rather than a hatchet. Although, deconstruction might be nice and a hatchet the perfect tool for it, where would it end? I recall glossing over that question before diving into the war in Iraq. I also agree that our tendency to snowball budget rather than line item is dangerous and responsible for this economic shamble. V.
