"Given Obama's limited foreign policy experience, I think he had to choose Joe."Absolutely agree 100%, Peter. I think he needed Biden just for the simple fact that the big (honest) question on Barack is experience period. Also I think Biden is perfectly suited for VP in all areas and probably is one of the best partners Barack could have picked. He will get straight answers and direct talk from Joe. Hell, he's well known for that and sometimes to his detriment."Biden will not disappoint him in the VP debates." I think you are right. McCain is said to be getting forced to pick Romney by the GOP. This is funny because McCain supposedly harbors a genuine dislike for the Mittster. Romney will look (again) like an empty suit next to Biden pretty much because, in my opinion, he is. I have to admit I have been dismissive of Biden in the past for stupid reasons. When my dad talked to me about voting for him I gave him the "but he can't win" speech. Now I feel like an asshole about it but that's life, live and learn. My guess is my father will be excited about this and tell me all the reasons he improves the ticket and he's right. In fact I remember back when Gore was running that my father said Gore needed a guy like Biden rather than Lieberman, who seems to have turned out to be one of the douchebags of the century. Funny to think Gore once picked him to be a heartbeat from the presidency.
