Did you all see the opening ceremonies? One NBC announcer described them as 'beautiful, but a little
intimidating'. He was right. China's on the move- the technology, art, scale, and overwhelming
precision of the opening ceremony was a sign of an ascendant culture.
On the same day I heard on CBS News that all the lending institutions are cutting college loans
way
back in the US, so fewer students can afford to go to college. A sure sign of a culture in decline....You can look up the opener here:
