Isn't that a lot of voters' motivation, they loathe congress as a whole, but their guy is o.k., as long as he brings back the pork. Byrd can be lableled the king of pork, but pretty much all of them are only separated by varying degrees of pigginess. It may be a futile gesture, but I usually vote nonincumbent or third party 'cause I can't stand the stranglehold our two major parties have on America.
And can you reflect on "Byrd's turds" as opposed to his reputation . . . do you agree or disagree with any of his statements. Do you still believe Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld went into Iraq as liberators, or that Iraq was an imminent threat to the U.S. . . . And if the former is true should we revisit Somalia or maybe head to Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and the Congo . . . are we the world's liberator?
