Not that it has anything to do with what you asked, but there was a David Knopfler who put out a fairly folky little album back in about 1991, and the guy in the used CD shop told me it was one of the David N David guys, so I bought it. I liked it so-so, but later found out it had no connection to my beloved D & D. (At least so far as I know.)Somehow that anecdote ranks a few rungs below trivial. Haha.
