"What about Planet of the Apes? Probably don't like that message either huh?"

You know I read Planet of the Apes in Jr. High School (which is about the age the story is aimed at) and liked the book far better than the movie, which was after all, just one long build up to the final shot and 'twist ending'. (I won't spoil the ending for those libertarians among you who have been living on a mountain top the past forty years).

THe movie was/is dull- like a far too long Twilight Zone episode- The monkeys look like 1970's monkeys, and Charlton Heston remains an overwrought, hambone actor as always.
