Of all the recommendations in this thread, this is the first one I'll be picking up for sure. I've never heard of this group, but I do love jazz, so I'll be giving it a shot.My own newest CD's include several re-releases from the Alan Parsons Project (they're almost through the catalog now), along with a couple of discs by ex-members of Jellyfish: "Sextus" is a band formed by Eric Dover, and their album "Stranger than Fiction" is decent; Jellyfish mainstay Roger Joseph Manning Jr., however, has recorded his best solo work on the new "Catnip Dynamite," available only by import from Japan.I have recently downloaded an album by Shaw/Blades, of the bands Styx/Night Ranger respectively, and I'm enjoying some of the more energetic numbers on that, particularly the first one. More and more, as the rock musicians I grew up listening to get all maudlin and ballad-y (and also begin releasing whole albums full of cover tunes), I find myself seeking out the ones who still let loose with some pulse-driving rock N roll. Rick Springfield is a good example, though his latest rockin' album is three or four years old. And since then he's done the obligatory album full of cover tunes (which I also have).Herring405
