feels like things are coming to a head, man

you might find this off the mark, but…

if you’ve ever watched Easy Rider, the way things

are now, politically, culturally, etc., is the

culmination of all the heavy aspects of that film.

metaphorically speaking, that is.   not to

oversimplify, but the “freedom”

is a threat to too many

simpletons  &

horrific

ones.

throughout the flick,   the only real pleasant moments where when they were riding the

open road: every stop, really, was mostly some heavy and rather disappointing

deconstruction of far higher preconceived notions.  then, even the open

road opened fire and turned them to dust.      america, the beaut

examples are being set in the third world

what…goes…around

…comes

     who caught

sight of the

blood-let

 ...in on the

    evening tide?

no, it’s not another’s blood

not some “low-life” or  “long-hair”

it’s yours, mine, ours, th earth's, creation,

& yet this is all just “hippy” bullshit  notions so

fuck it,    fuck every hopeful aspect of  the road

the crackers  in the restaurant own the legislature key

how long do we expect to keep the best laid notions on

a shelf…just because the weakest souls have the lion’s

share of the ammo and muscle and concentration

of politics & prejudice  & grapes of wrath?

happy trails to our Lakota sisters & brothers

every sorrow, though, that there’s absolutely

nowhere left to go that ain’t already seized

do what you have to do to keep your

children fed on redheart wisdoms

& drum song stories of being

you’ve forgotten more

about life than we’

ve ever known

if Jesus were here now, they’d kill him and skin him and leave him on the lowland to rot
