I too had the same impression from A Good Day to Die that his brother's suicide was from a much earlier time. I actually like the cd but I hesitate to play it as it is quite heavy and can take you from a nice mood to a much too contemplative one.
Ian...have you ever caught any of Sammy's solo shows? I imagine he plays in some smaller settings which allow you the chance to approach him for some small talk. Has that ever happened for you?
