Our old Golden died a couple of years ago and it took a couple of years to be able to even think about
another dog. Now we have a new, fat, six year old mutt- a 'rescue' dog- who has had two previous
owners. She never barks, she's as sweet as can be, likes our cats, and is deathly afraid of the toaster-
or at least the act of making toast.... She likes the toast though.My sympathy Cassandra. Our dogs love us more truly and unconditionally than many people do, and
certainly, at times, more than we deserve.
