Well, I think I got a bit off track. The thing is the Goodling testimony sort of bugged me and it wasn't Goodling or her lawyer sitting behind her with his fat face that was pretty much the definition of smug, it was the banal trajectory of the questioning.

Oh well...what can you do. I just have this feeling that some years from now somebody will play a video of Whitehouse questioning Gonzales and say "What the fuck? We knew back then that the executive branch could completely corrupt the justice system and we did nothing about it? What the hell was everybody thinking?"

The answer will be a dull thud...
