Well hurrah.

What part didn't you get about 9/11? (It really did happen you know) If you're going to get on the `Blood for oil` tip, I'd recommend the works of Chris Hitchens. FYI the Iraqi's sheltered Abu Nidal till his death and they also funded the Palestinian homicide bombers - so the Al Qaida/Iraq link may not be that hard to establish if you have the mind to do so.

Also, if the IRA and PIRA were trained in the camps of Gaddafi and were recently caught with their pants down in Columbia - would you care to give me the odds of no ties between Iraq and Al Qaida if there is a blood tie between Libya, Columbia and Eire? I'd also recommend an online search for `Ansar Al Islam` to find out how many other terrorist groups aren't linked to Saddam's regime.

Fair enough. But going back to my original question, what would you do if the military action is stopped and there is another terrorist attack? Would you advocate any kind of response, or could you deal with seeing another mass spate of your fellow Americans getting killed?

Some political-scientists might say that `Peace through strength` is a desirable mode for a country to operate under. I would say that ex-Prez Clinton's stripping of the military budget and his general gutless approach to homeland defense (possibly in the name of `a surplus`) contributed to the world opinion that the USA was weak and could/would not defend itself. To that end, his `do nothing` approach to the middle eastern countries faciliated the following scenarios

1 - WTC 1 2 - The Embassy Bombings 3 - The USS Cole 4 - 9/11

When he did try to do something, he did not provide his soldiers the tools to finish the job (Somalia), he also ducked the UN completely (Bosnia) and when he acted unilaterly, he committed what might be called war crimes

1 - The bombing of the asprin factory in the Sudan 2 - The bombing of the Chineese embassy Before anyone here starts expounding about the current war, please feel free to address `the El Shiffa incident`. Once the Hague deals with Kissinger and Sharon, maybe we could cart Clinton out there to answer for his crimes. Had he have not tried to fast track the middle east negotiations to try and cement his reputation in history, maybe there wouldn't have been this current Israeli/Palestinian bloodbath.

That's the best joke I've heard from a Clinton partisan. After Somalia, none of you have a fecking thing to say when it comes to army morale.

He'll be voted out next year, there'll be a tax-hike in the name of `a surplus`, money will be funelled out to rebuild what was destroyed and America will be laid wide open for another attack. Who cares if you're safe or not when it comes to hoarding money?
