David Baerwald,
Regarding:
P.S. I’m not exactly sure what you’re talking about. When you say “truck garden” do you mean as defined: truck garden (alt. truck farm): A farm that grows vegetables for market. Or (& it feel’s like a stupid question, but, because you live in the city…) do you mean to put a garden in the bed of a truck?
This actually was a no-bullshidt question; not trying to be absurd or anything. So maybe throw me a bone: Are you looking to create a space saver raised garden bed … or to greenhouse/farm produce for market?
I’m asking because we have some experience in raised garden bed and small space gardening, not a whole lot…but the family took part in a local experimental gardening project, so I’m curious (is all). Also my bro-in-law has a very productive, large for the desert, garden north of the grapevine…so he may have soil condition recommendations that I can pass on for your region. [hey, FWIW]
