your Feinstein story reminds me of the line by senator Everett Dirksen, “a billion here, a billion there and pretty soon you’re talking about real money." i don't know why more hasn't been made of the story. it's got all the necessary ingredients i would think.

i'll check out the Bill Moyers links. i'm familiar with him. i recall him being in the news himself a few years back wrt reports on pbs being more left than center or right.
